Business Partnership Award

WILLIAM G. BEATTIE

Maranatha Foundation

The Danbury Housing Partnership’s Business Partnership Award is presented to

William G. Beattie of the Maranatha Foundation for his efforts to establish, govern

and expand the programs of the Jericho Partnership providing physical and spiritual

sustenance to people who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless. As

Executive Chairman Bill has led the Jericho Partnership as it established itself as a

powerful force for good in our community and a model of what can be accomplished

to help people through the collaboration of faith-based organizations. In presenting this

award to Bill, we take note of several programs that have directly advanced the objectives

of Danbury’s Ten-Year Plan To End Homelessness, including: the work of Christian

Community Outreach Ministries in providing help to families and individuals who are

homeless; the establishment of CCOM’s new transitional housing facility

with supportive services; Jericho’s educational and mentoring programs and the new

Samaritan Center. The Jericho Partnership enlivens our community through the richness

and innovation of the programs under its umbrella; demonstrates that great works can be

achieved through collaborative effort and inspires us with a vision of an even more

promising future. We are proud to honor William Beattie today for his role in making the

Jericho Partnership such an important part of the lives of our residents.
