Mr. Nolan discussed a meeting with Director of Health, Scott LeRoy and Financial Director Dave St. Hilaire regarding funding resources. The Danbury Housing Partnership is placed in the City of Danbury’s ledger dating back to funding provided by Union Carbide around 1988. The mission of the Housing Partnership in that time period was to assist the City in providing affordable housing. The mission of the Partnership includes and expands on this mission to include the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness.
After conversing with Dave St. Hilaire, the Partnership fund presently has approximately $20,000.00. Some of the monies made from the Housing Partnership breakfast of 2008 will be used to assist the 3rd Annual Project Homeless Connect scheduled for Friday, December 11, 2009 at Western Connecticut State University and Vet House opening sometime in December, 2009. The monies made from this year(2009) Partnership breakfast will be discussed at the next scheduled meeting. Staff will have to contact the Finance Department for assistance on providing approximately $1000.00 from the Partnership to Project Homeless Connect. Mr. Nolan also discussed the Housing Trust Fund utilized by the City of Danbury, the updating of the Housing Partnership website through a consultant paid by the Non-Profit Rental Housing Corp.
