City of Danbury Fair Housing Office

 Susan Zaborowski serves as the Fair Housing Officer for the City of Danbury.  The mission of the Fair Housing Office is to promote Fair Housing and Equal Housing Opportunity in Danbury and to assist persons who are victims of illegal housing discrimination.  The Fair Housing Officer works with the Danbury Housing Partnership which provides assistance and advice in the preparation and implementation of plans and activities.  While the City does not have the Statutory authority to enforce fair housing laws the Fair Housing Officer will work with persons who believe they are victims of illegal discrimination to file complaints with the appropriate agencies.  Ms. Zaborowski also serves on the board of directors of the Fair Housing Association of Connecticut.
