DANBURY HOUSING PARTNERSHIP CELEBRATION BREAKFAST

The Danbury Housing Partnership conducted its first annual Celebration Breakfast on October 2, 2008 at the Ethan Allen Hotel in Danbury.  Almost three hundred people gathered to honor the recipients of the Danbury Housing Partnership Awards for their efforts in helping to implement Danbury's Ten-Year Plan To End Homelessness.  The event also created awareness of the issues involved with homelessness and raised funds to assist this year's Danbury Project Homeless Connect to be held at the Danbury Elks Lodge on December 3, 2008.  Award recipients were:  Community Partnership Award- MCCA, Incorporated for the work of Joseph Sullivan and Dawn Wilson; Supportive Services Award- Michele Conderino of Catholic Charities of Fairfield County; and Business Partnership Award- William G. Beattie of the Manatha Trust.  Guests also were also treated to the debut of a new video about Danbury's Project Homeless Connect produced by The Bridge introduced by Milena Sangut as well as a presentation on Danbury's "Housing For Heroes" inititiative by Veterans Workgroup Chair Michael McLachlan.
