The Danbury Housing Partnership’s Community Partnership Award is presented to:

Dream Homes Community Center, a subsidiary of the Association of Religious Communities.  Accepting the award was Rev. P. J. Leopold, Executive Director.

Dream Homes Community Center (DHCC) is a collaborative of ARC, the Housing Authority of the City of Danbury, WeCAHR, and Connecticut Childrens First.  The collabortive receives financial support from the City of Danbury.  Through this collaborative, DHCC has developed an array of services and advocacy opportunities for persons who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless.

DHCC has implemented the HMIS system for our region and became the first in our state to develop a Point of Entry for all homeless referrals for the City of Danbury.  As a result, it has been instrumental in the success of capturing persons who are in need of housing and services.

DHCC’s outreach, counseling, & case management have enabled DHCC to make numerous contributions towards preventing and ending homelessness in the Danbury region.

DHCC has also been a valued member of the Greater Danbury Continuum of Care, the Point In Time Count Workgroup, the Planning Workgroup for Project Homeless Connect and the statewide HMIS Steering Committee.
