Dr. Thomas Valluzzo, DMD is a noted periodontal surgeon who has conducted his own practice in periodontics in Danbury for over thirty years. Dr. Valluzzo is active in community affairs and has supported charitable efforts to provide dental services to under-served low income communities both at home and abroad. Dr. Valluzzo is also an avid amateur historian with a particular interest in the Civil War period. His historical research helped the Danbury Veterans Council properly honor Nathan E. Hickok, a Danbury native who was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during the attack on Fort Harrison during the Union Army’s Richmond campaign in late 1864.
