Meeting Minutes June 14, 2011

Welcome and Introductions
Fred Morton called the
meeting to order and proceeded with introductions.
Program Updates
Ten Year Plan – No update
Point of Entry – No update
HMIS
AHAR – Corrected AHAR reports
are due on June 30th.
Nikki Singer is following up with agencies regarding correcting data and
improving data quality.
2010 Grant Debriefing Summary
On May 17, 2011, HUD conducted
a debriefing regarding the FY2010
NOFA. Over 1.6 billion dollars
were awarded to renewal projects and new projects.
All renewal projects for
Danbury were funded. A new project
consisting of 2 vouchers was awarded to ARC. Scores for Danbury were reviewed. The median score for all CoCs was 75.4. The Danbury CoC score exceeded the
average with a total score of 77.25.
The average scores for
Danbury for each of the 5
domains was reviewed.
NOFA
HDX and PIT Data have been
submitted to BOS for the FY2011 NOFA. The Grant Inventory Worksheet was also submitted.
BOS
Steering Committee - The BOS
Steering Committee meeting was held on May 20, 2011. The FY2010 NOFA scores for BOS were reviewed. BOS is looking at potential governance
possibilities for CoCs under the HEARTH Act.
HMIS Subcommittee – HMIS data
quality needs to be improved and BOS has held data entry trainings for
providers to assist in accomplishing this.
Mainstream
Resources/Discharge Planning - Employment numbers at exit are low. BOS will be holding a training for BOS
grantees regarding employment and benefits.
HPRP
ARC will not be accepting
application for HPRP until July 1, 2011.
They are, however, accepting referrals and are meeting with people who
are interested to review the program and steps involved in the application
process.
Subcommittees
Young Adults – no report.
Employment – An employer
forum was held on June 1, 2011, at MCCA in Danbury. Employers and employment providers met to discuss available
services, employment strategies and supports that are provided to
individuals. Feedback form
participants was extremely positive. The Employment Subcommittee will explore
future steps and suggestions to reach employers that were discussed at the
forum.
Family – no report
VASH
Nicole Campbell reported that
the remaining 3 VASH vouchers are in the final award stage. This brings the total number of awarded
VASH vouchers in Danbury to 15.
HEARTH Act
There are no updates
regarding the implementation/approval of the HEARTH regulations.
Milena Sangut, Nikki Singer,
Michelle Conderino and Fred Morton met to discuss strategies to help prepare
providers and the CoC for the HEARTH implementation. Next steps will include bringing together representatives of
stakeholder agencies to discuss ways to ensure that the Danbury CoC is prepared
to meet the new HEARTH requirements including outcomes.
