The Third Annual Danbury Housing Partnership Community Breakfast will take place on October 7, 2010 at the Amber Room in Danbury from 7:30 to 9:00 am.
The purpose of the event is to encourage the creation of affordable housing opportunities in the region and to marshal community support for implementation of the Ten Year Plan To End Homelessness. A highlight of the program is the presentation of the Housing Partnership Awards honoring individuals, groups and businesses for their work in providing housing opportunities and supportive services for area residents.
Last year’s event was attended by more than 260 people from throughout the greater Danbury region. Attendees included key representatives from the public, private and non-profit sectors of the community. Proceeds from the breakfast are used to support community efforts to address housing needs, including providing funding to implement the successful Danbury Project Homeless Connect event every December.
